Interesting English Vocabulary〜語彙力アップ〜（中級以上）Tuesday 10:30 to 12:00
What is click-bait? Downsizing? English has many words not found in textbooks. Students in this class will learn some of these new words, and English word roots. Students will read short paragraphs, deduce the meaning of the words, and practice using them. The class is conducted in English.
News Listening〜英語のニュースを聞く〜（上級）Tuesday 1:00 to 2:30
For students who want to improve their English listening comprehension. Each week, students will listen to one news story from British, American or other news stations. The class is conducted entirely in English. |

課題の映画（テープ）を自宅で聞いて書き出し、教室で正解をチェック、音読で発音を正し、訳出。
日本語の字幕だけでは分からないユーモアや裏話を知ることができます。
発音がネイティブのそれに近い人ほどリスニング能力が高い傾向があります。
俳優のせりふのその発音、抑揚、スピード、さらには感情までそっくり真似られれば理想的です。
しかし、映画を字幕なしで見るにはそれだけではもちろん不十分。
英語の総合力を上げるとともに、社会や文化、歴史などの背景知識が深まればさらに楽しめます。
はっきり言ってニュースより難しいのが映画リスニング。道は遠いけど、しつこくがんばって！ |
